Membership Drive

It’s time for our annual membership drive.  Please take a few minutes to fill out the membership form to renew your yearly membership in the Washington Park Neighborhood Association. If you are new to the neighborhood, have never joined the association, or haven’t been a member recently, we encourage you to join now and become involved in your neighborhood.  The yearly household membership fee is just $15 (for one calendar year) and your donation is tax deductible.

Do You Need Help Getting A City Service, But Don't Know Where To Turn?

Call our neighborhood Assistance Specialist Vernetta DeVane. 

Vernetta covers Winston-Salem’s South and Southwest Wards.  Her job is to make it easy to deal with city government – whether you need a pothole fixed, or a street light replaced, or have an issue with the way the city is doing something. When she’s not working on citizen issues, she is an extra pair of eyes on the prowl for illegal dumping, blocked stormwater drains and other services that the city handles.

Neighborhood Assistance Specialists are veteran city employees who know the ins and outs of city government. Vernetta’s job is to resolve issues, not just be a referral service. She will take your question, get an answer and get back to you. If the issue is beyond the scope of city government, she’ll put you on the right track.
